TAJ MAHAL TOUR – AGRA

We take you on a tour to this unforgettable monument of love in your private chauffeur driven car. We shall pick you up from any place in Delhi (early morning is preferable to avoid city traffic). You will drive through new Express highway and the journey of 200 km will take approximately four hours or less. You will first visit Taj Mahal, a world-renowned wonder. The Quranic inscriptions on its four entrances are carved in such subtle increase in size that may appear to be of the same size from top to bottom! The Taj Mahal is phenomenal not in the beauty alone that shines forth, but in the deep planning and design that went into its making, and the ethereal idea of immortalizing love. Delicate carvings in marble vie with gorgeous pietradura for attention. Lapis-lazuli, Cornelian, Mother of pearl, Agate and Emerald are inlayed in floral and geometrical patterns in the marble itself.

After visit of Taj Mahal, next stop is Agra fort which is built alongside the Yamuna river and stretches almost 2.5 km. Built by Akbar in Red Sandstone when he was through with the consolidation of his power, Agra Fort worked both as a military strategic point as well as the royal residence. Many of the palaces inside the fort were later added by next generations of Mughal Emperors like Jahangir and Shahjahan. You can also visit Itmad-ud-Daulah and Sikandara without any extra cost.

After visit of Taj Mahal and other monuments of this Imperial city of Agra, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Delhi.
